FROM EDITOR’S DESK: STUDENTS CORNER

Dear students, as you have noticed, AICIS website has a separate section called STUDENTS CORNER to encourage young students of international relations to contribute articles for this platform. Though AICIS doesn’t have an honorarium policy at the moment, the Board of Trustees has decided to gift selected young authors whose articles are published in STUDENTS CORNER with a book each in the respective areas of their study. So, keep writing… – Editor

SEEKING TRUTH FROM FACTS

Muraleedharan Nair, Director, AICIS, is beginning a new column, Seeking Truth from Facts. He will look at various China-related developments that might interest ordinary readers and China watchers alike. He has agreed to embellish it with his personal experiences and observations, wherever possible, so that the column would be different from some others that are purely academic in treatment. No periodicity has been fixed for the column now. We will take a call on it looking at the response of our esteemed readers. – Editor

WEEKLY DIGEST

Dear friends,

From this week, we will publish every Friday a small Weekly Digest of important developments related to China under the tab, CHINA TRENDING. Efforts will be made to include some of the interesting developments from a range of subjects in the cultural, socio-political, economic and geo-strategic areas, but shall exclude those items that might have already received wide international media attention. Why not; we will also look for some human interest stories that might interest our readers. Further, we will try and limit the coverage to say, five items maximum, but not exceeding a total of 1000 words in any case.

Suggestions on improving the content of the Weekly Digest are most welcome. Please write to [email protected] .

Thank you for the continued interest.

Warmly,
Editor
