"Seek Truth from Facts, for Truth Alone Triumphs"

The Asian Institute for China and IOR Studies (AICIS) is a not-for-profit think tank, established as a non-commercial arm of the Asia Awareness Foundation (AAF) under the provisions of the Indian Trust Act of 1882. AICIS proudly upholds the AAF's noble mission of empowering diverse sections of the society by fostering awareness through its innovative programmes, as outlined below.

In an era where timely and accurate information on strategic developments is scarce, a plethora of print, visual, social, and new media operators create their own, often deceptive, narratives aimed at misleading the general public. Therefore, there is an acute need for objective, unbiased academic institutions that can analyse such developments impartially and disseminate their findings to a wide array of audiences, including students, academics, journalists and the general public.

Taking inspiration from the timeless wisdom of the ancient Book of Han of China and the Mundaka Upanishad of India, AICIS’s motto is "Seek Truth from Facts, for Truth Alone Triumphs".

AICIS draws on the rich experience of its distinguished fellows, hailing from a variety of professional backgrounds, and the exceptional talents of its young team of research associates and scholars, boasting excellent academic qualifications. Secondly, AICIS delves into in-depth research on specific subjects of vital importance and submits its independent observations to relevant authorities to enhance their analysis processes. Thirdly, and equally importantly, AICIS joins AAF's other charitable endeavours to benefit deserving students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, from primary school to university levels.
